Privacy Policy
RS Consulting Singapore Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as this "Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as the "Services").
Article 1 (Personal Information)
"Personal Information" refers to "personal information" as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. It refers to information regarding a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions contained in such information, as well as data related to appearance, fingerprints, or voiceprints, and information that can identify a specific individual from said information alone, such as the insurer number on a health insurance card (Personal Identification Information).
Article 2 (Method of Collection of Personal Information)
The Company may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver's license number when a user registers for use. Furthermore, the Company may collect transaction records and information regarding payments containing the user's personal information made between the user and our partners from our partners (including information providers, advertisers, ad distribution destinations, etc.; hereinafter referred to as "Partners").
Article 3 (Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information)
The purposes for which the Company collects and uses personal information are as follows:
1. To provide and operate our Services;
2. To respond to inquiries from users (including identity verification);
3. To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, etc. of the service the user is using, as well as information on other services provided by the Company;
4. To contact users as necessary for maintenance, important notices, etc.;
5. To identify users who violate the Terms of Service or who attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or unjust purposes, and to refuse their use;
6. To allow users to view, change, or delete their own registration information and view their usage status;
7. To charge users for usage fees in paid services; and
8. Purposes incidental to the above purposes of use.
Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)
1. The Company shall change the purpose of use of personal information only when it is reasonably recognized that the purpose of use constitutes relevance to that before the change.
2. In the event of a change in the purpose of use, the Company shall notify the user of the changed purpose by the method prescribed by the Company or announce it on this website.
Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
1. The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the user, except in the following cases. However, this excludes cases permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws and regulations.
(1) When it is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person in question;
(2) When it is specifically necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person in question;
(3) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by either in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations and obtaining the consent of the person in question is likely to impede the execution of such affairs; or
(4) When the Company has notified or announced the following matters in advance and has filed a notification with the Personal Information Protection Commission:
- Including provision to a third party in the purpose of use;
- Items of data provided to a third party;
- Means or method of provision to a third party;
- Stopping the provision of personal information to a third party at the request of the person in question; and
- Method for accepting the request of the person in question.
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in the following cases, the recipient of such information shall not fall under the category of a third party:
(1) When the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use;
(2) When personal information is provided in connection with the succession of business due to merger or other reasons; or
(3) When personal information is used jointly with a specific person, and the person in question has been notified in advance or placed in a state where they can easily know of such fact, as well as the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of the joint users, the purpose of use by the users, and the name or designation of the person responsible for the management of said personal information.
Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
1. When the Company is requested by the person in question to disclose their personal information, the Company shall disclose such information to the person without delay. However, if the disclosure falls under any of the following, the Company may not disclose all or part of it, and if the Company decides not to disclose it, it shall notify the person to that effect without delay. A fee of 1,000 yen will be charged for each case of disclosure of personal information.
(1) When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the person in question or a third party;
(2) When there is a risk of causing a significant hindrance to the proper implementation of the Company's business; or
(3) When it would violate other laws and regulations.
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information, such as history information and characteristic information, shall not be disclosed in principle.
Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
1. If the user's personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the user may request the Company to correct, add, or delete the personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Correction, etc.") in accordance with the procedures determined by the Company.
2. If the Company receives a request from the user as set forth in the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to respond to the request, the Company shall perform Correction, etc. of the said personal information without delay.
3. If the Company performs Correction, etc. based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or decides not to perform Correction, etc., the Company shall notify the user of this without delay.
Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)
1. If the Company is requested by the person in question to suspend the use or delete (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension of Use, etc.") their personal information on the grounds that it is handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or that it was acquired by wrongful means, the Company shall conduct the necessary investigation without delay.
2. Based on the results of the investigation in the preceding paragraph, if the Company determines that it is necessary to respond to the request, the Company shall perform Suspension of Use, etc. of the said personal information without delay.
3. If the Company performs Suspension of Use, etc. based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or decides not to perform Suspension of Use, etc., the Company shall notify the user of this without delay.
4. Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, in cases where Suspension of Use, etc. involves a large amount of cost or where it is otherwise difficult to perform Suspension of Use, etc., and where alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the user can be taken, such alternative measures shall be taken.
Article 9 (Changes to Privacy Policy)
1. The contents of this Policy may be changed without notice to the user, except for matters otherwise provided by laws and regulations or this Policy.
2. Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the changed Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
